Captious Pedants is a WPR (site). As such, it called for a contemporary and professional design that reflects its credibility.

The unorthodox colour scheme is way of telling its audience that they are different--eccentric. Analogous colours are nice, but it isn't the only channel of design. Others will pass off green, blue and orange as clashing colours, but they are open-minded and they have the skill to make it work.
